A new face for a place with a thousand resources.
Group project: Albanese Marta, Albertini Federica, Bassino Chiara, Bertolotto Gilberto
Period: September 2024 - February 2025
Client: Triciclo Social Cooperative
The Triciclo Social Cooperative is located here.
The project was born in collaboration with Triciclo, a Turin-based social cooperative that manages local second-hand markets, offers bicycle repair services, and promotes environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
The brief called for the development of an artifact, which could take the form of a consumer product or a communication product, that would foster public development and/or engagement and disseminate information about the company. The project had to be aimed at a specific target: the occasional user.
A careful analysis of the target audience revealed that most users associate the Triciclo Cooperative with the nearby eco-center, unaware of its specific initiatives. Furthermore, the building's anonymity and location on a side street hinder its visibility and make it unattractive to new users.
For this reason, the working group chose to develop a communication solution capable of attracting new audiences to the building while also highlighting the Cooperative's environmental and social activities.
The communication unfolds on two distinct but complementary levels: the mural and the walkway.
At first, the mural aims to attract the attention of passersby, who, thanks to its bright colors, notice the building from afar and, intrigued, approach it. Closer to the building, they are therefore able to immediately grasp the values and activities that drive the Triciclo initiative: the bicycle workshop (Ride), the sustainable library (Read), the second-hand market (Reuse), and collaboration and social inclusiveness (Together).
Once inside the gate, visitors are guided step by step along a path that not only leads them to the entrance but also provides clear and direct information about the initiatives Triciclo is involved in.
